Eric Smith, ProModel

As Director of Manufacturing and Logistics Solutions - West, Eric is charged with exploring clients needs and matching them to the appropriate ProModel solution.  He provides simulation-based solutions to various industry sectors including: aerospace and defense, semiconductor, logistics, CPG and natural resources.  His two favorite solution topics are portfolio analysis and strategic capacity planning.  On ProModel assignment, he has executed projects in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
 
In 20 years of management, engineering and consulting, Eric has gathered experience from an array of technologies, products, and processes.  All his work has focused on delivering innovative solutions based on proven technologies.  Eric led a team whose successes with CAD-homologation studies established a new methodology as an integral part of product development.  While a department head, he was responsible for new technology implementations and their operational performance.  In a marketing role, he carried out projects for maximizing portfolio financials against R&D resources. 
 
Prior to ProModel, he held engineering and management positions at GM and VW.  Eric earned MBA and BS Mechanical Engineering degrees from Brigham Young University, Provo, UT.  He resides in St. George, Utah.

 

Terry Weiner, California Manufacturing Technology Consulting

Terry Weiner is the Practice Lead of CMTC’s Lean Enterprise and Quality Systems practices and works directly with key clients and partners in developing solutions and approaches to assist organizations implement and sustain transformations.

Terry brings unique value by helping companies connect the dots between advanced manufacturing theory and the strategic and practical application of technology, methods, and tools. Terry has deep experience in a broad range of industries including Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Electronics, Plastics, and Healthcare and has held executive positions in production design, quality assurance, and operations. As a Senior Consultant and Master Black Belt with CMTC, he has coached and facilitated over 100 companies in the successful implementation of improvement initiatives including Lean systems, quality management systems (ISO 9000, AS9100, TS 16949), and Six Sigma, combining leading edge project and change management methodologies to achieve measurable and sustainable gains.

Terry is an ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Auditor, and Certified Quality Engineer. He is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, was trained by Toyota on the Toyota Production System and certified in Change Management by Prosci. Terry earned his MBA from Pepperdine University and his BSci in Pharmacy from the University of Arizona. He is also a past Chair of the San Fernando Valley Section of the American Society for Quality.
