Kenneth Hays, Eli Lilly & Company

Ken Hays is a veteran PMP with 20 years of experience. He was a Senior Project management Consultant with SBC/Ameritech/ATT before joining Eli Lilly in 2000. Ken has an MBA from Butler University with a concentration in Leadership. As an adjunct faculty member, Ken has taught Project Management and Leadership courses at IUPUI and Indiana Tech. Ken has played a key role in the Global Implementation of Critical Chain at Lilly for 6 years.

This case study will take you through the long term implementation of Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) in a large Pharma.  From the first pilot in the IT component, to the global roll out in the Product Development PMO, we will discuss success factors, barriers, and how the organization has declared CCPM not as a Project Management Methodology but as our Operating System. We will discuss how we leveraged the integration of CCPM with our Six Sigma efforts in order to gain speed to delivery.
