
Bahadir Inozu, PhD, NOVACES
Bahadir Inozu, Ph.D. is a Founding Partner and the Chief Executive Officer of NOVACES, LLC. He is a co-author of the upcoming book "Performance Improvement for Healthcare: Leading Change with Lean, Six Sigma and Constraints Management." Previously, he held the positions of Professor and Chairman of the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering of the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, and Professor in the Engineering Management Department at the University of New Orleans. He was also the Director of the Reliability, Operations, and Maintenance Division of Gulf Coast Region Maritime Technology Center for more than 10 years.
He is a Lean-Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a Theory of Constraints Jonah. In addition, he has led over 20 major applied research projects, and written over 70 journal articles and conference papers. Dr. Inozu pioneered the implementation of Lean Six Sigma in the U.S. Shipbuilding industry. He got his M.S. and Ph.D. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan and B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Technical University of Istanbul. His current research focuses on integrating Constraints Management with Lean Six Sigma for Process Improvement, Program and Project Management.

Common Sense Breakthroughs for Performance Improvement: Leading Change w/Lean, Six Sigma, and Constraints Management
This presentation focuses on how to effectively improve organizational performance in today's persistent cost-cutting environment by using an integrated approach with systems thinking. How to achieve maximum gains by directing improvement efforts at strategic leverage points will be described. The use of systematic innovation tools in CPI projects will be summarized with examples. The application of Critical Chain principles in CPI project execution will also be highlighted.
